This Tea Cosmos Assam black tea is grown and harvested on the famous Bukhial estate in northeast India. This lush tea producing region is nourished by the Brahmaputra river which has contributed mineral-rich loam to the fertile soils. Sweltering, humidity and heat from the annual monsoons create idea conditions for the tea plants. The tea is hand harvested and the finished dried leaves produce a very hearty, bold, brisk cup of tea. It is an ideal morning tea and quite enjoyable with or without milk. The pleasant astringency is refreshing, and the legendary ‘maltiness’ or lingering aftertaste reminsecent of burnt-sugar, toast and caramel makes it a required foundation of any tea collection.
