Yunnan black tea – 3-4 balls per cup hot or iced
This amazing whole leaf tea unfurls slowly and brews up mellow and delicious. Extremely tolerant of forgetful brewing. Does not get bitter or astringent. Cocoa and malt aroma and taste predominates, amber colored brew.
This tea is perfectly adaptable to differing brewing methods and delicious in all of them.
Hot or cold, the tea can be brewed for a long time making it ideal for Chengdu style tea (just throw them in a cup and add hot water. Keep adding hot water as long as you like). The tea can be left in the pot or cup and hot water added for multiple brewing.
For iced tea, place balls in a mug or stainless travel cup with cold water and a few ice cubes. Add water and ice as needed and it will keep you refreshed for hours.
